Mulberry Barn House Details
Mulberry is a traditionally styled modern house, but carefully designed to fit into a conservation area surrounded by grade 2 listed buildings. Handmade tiles and bricks, serpentine walls, cedar cladding and a well laid out garden (mostly grass) all ensure the house adds to the character of this special area of Milford village.
Mulberry Barn has a great location being on a quiet road (no through traffic!) and yet just a three minutes stroll to Milford village which has a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and a traditional fish and chip shop. The beach/cliff top is a 10 minute walk away whilst the New Forest National Park starts just over a mile away.
The ground floor is dominated by the large open plan kitchen, bar, dining and living area which leads out through patio doors to the large south facing terrace – ideal for alfresco meals, coffee breaks or just enjoying the sun.
Kitchen: 5 ring gas hob, 2 electric Bosch ovens, microwave, dish washer, large fridge/freezer and wine fridge
Dining/bar area: 3 bar stools, dining table that comfortably seats 6.
Living area: Two three seater sofas with coffee table. Log burning stove.
Terrace: Large table with chairs. (In garage: garden recliners, BBQ, crabbing nets, buckets and spades)
Study: Large working desk with office chair. Comfortable sofa and chair with foot-rest. Internet radio. Books and games (all ages). Wifi hub, printer. Toddler toy cupboard.
Utility room: Butlers sink, washing machine, tumbler dryer and airing racks
Cloakroom: Shower, toilet and basin
The oak staircase leads up to two large en-suite bedrooms.
Master bedroom: Faces south and has views across to the Isle of Wight. This room has a king size bed which can be split into two comfortable singles. The bathroom has a large free standing bath, basin, toilet and bidet. Hair dryer. Plenty of room for a cot
Second bedroom: King size bed which also can be split into two comfortable singles, en suite bathroom with large walk-in shower, toilet and basin. Hair dryer. Plenty of room for a cot
Heating: Gas fired central heating and hot water.
Entertainment: There is a 37 inch wall mounted flat screen plasma TV with all free view channels in the sitting area with surround sound. Other facilities include a DVD/CD player, a DAB radio and a Roberts 63i internet radio (just amazing!) with ipod deck. We provide a selection of guides and maps for many local walks – both forest and coast.
Garden: Large lawn in front of patio area and terraced lawns to one side. We have a selection of sun loungers and garden chairs, a BBQ, buckets and spades, crab fishing gear and a few other outside toys. The garage is available for storing bikes in.
Parking: The private drive way (with closable gates) can accommodate two saloon cars

Our luxury New Forest Holiday cottage is ideal for families. Milford on sea is a popular family destination with the village just a few minutes stroll away with plenty of child friendly places to eat.
The beaches are nearby and the whole of the New Forest National Park is just one large natural playground! There are plenty of child friendly activities nearby – Peppa Pig World (Paultons Park) Beaulieu Motor Museum, Longdown Activity Farm, Moors Valley Country Park, Hurst Castle, New Forest Activities’ many outdoor activities on land and water are just a few examples.

Mulberry Barn, our luxury cottage in Milford on sea, welcomes adults and during their stay all toddler equipment is removed, put back in cupboards and generally placed out of sight!
Milford is a bit of a foodie destination with several excellent restaurants, a lively wine bar and a craft ale bar plus several pubs – all within an easy stroll. Stunning walks along the cliff top, along the shingle bank to Hurst Castle or through the Keyhaven/Lymington wildlife nature reserve can all be undertaken from Mulberry Barn’s front door.

If you are approaching Milford-on-sea from Lymington direction follow the A337 towards Cristchurch and Everton and then at Everton (approx. 2 miles) turn left onto the B3058. Follow this road until you reach the top of the village green and turn right here at the cross roads into Church Hill. Mulberry Barn is the second turning on the right.
If you are approaching Milford from New Milton direction follow the B3058 to Milford (approx 3 miles), past the cliff top and down into the village and when you reach the cross roads at the top of the village green turn left into Church Hill.
